No more coffee cup holders in police`s car

In the future, police will be more stressed, anxious and fatigued because of a decision to remove coffee cup holders in their cars. For shift workers and regularly shares space with guns, Tasers, radar and radios, the coffee is the drinking of choice.
The coffee cup holder that attached in dashboard of VE Holden Commodore (main vehicle for Australian police) have been romoved. The dashboard now installed with control panel for lights and sirens that in previous cars was fitted to the ceiling.
A Queensland Police spokesman said, “We do not encourage any motorist to drink or eat while driving.”. “How is a traffic officer in a VE model Commodore supposed to steer the vehicle, operate the mobile radar, communicate on the radio and juggle a 70C coffee latte whilst driving down the highway at 100km/h?”
It`s not only removing coffee cup holder. The designers have also added a modification to the ceiling where the control panel once was. They also fitted the cars with a special carry bag for drink bottles and other items.
